Nicole Holmquist–wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend–was born in Charleston, South Carolina, and raised by her adoptive parents in Greenville County. Her book, One Life, is the story of her journey to find her way home again.
Her story, which her best friend finally inspired her to write down, portrays her life and her experiences honestly. The people and the places she encountered along her path shaped and changed her deeply, and Holmquist has since developed a true appreciation for life and its miracles. She belives that there is always much more going on than what people can perceive with their eyes, and the only way for them to discover what’s going on is to share their stories with others–and to hope that they will share theirs with them.
Holmquist is grateful for having been reunited with her birth parents, for having escaped an abusive marriage, and for the loving husband she finally found, as well as the two beautiful daughters he gave her. She and her family currently live in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, and they love it there.
