Melanie Gall, author and illustrator of Europe, A Savvy Girl’s Guide, wrote the new children’s fiction title Katie’s Critters with the help of Katie and Lauren Culkin, two young girls who help their mother Wendy run the Katie’s Critters small animal rescue in Long Island, New York.
Gall is a professional singer who has traveled the world to perform concerts and recitals. She received her B.A. from the University of Alberta, completed two artist diploma programs in voice, and went on to receive her M. Mus. from Brooklyn College in New York.
