As an author, composer, performing artist, teacher, coach, and family man, Jeffrey Hickey has a lot of plates on his tray. His previously published works include a book and audio recording, Wages Creek, as well as a CD of stories with music, Bats and Bones, both of which received positive critical attention.
He lives happily with his wife and twins in Inverness, California, and their home is so overrun by pets and people that the Hickeys call it “Der Zoo.” In Der Zoo, Hickey is known by family and visiting friends as Chef-Boy-R-Jeff for his exquisite cooking. He is also a relentless advocate for blood donation, and like any red-blooded American man, he hopes that–one day–all live sporting events will be televised without commercials.
